Long awaited development on the first line in Playa Flamenca

The time is nearly upon us, after decades of planning the macro development located between Playa Flamenca and Punta Prima, in an area known as La Mosca: part of the Alameda del Mar district, is close to seeing the first brick being laid. This is a property development on a scale that has not been seen for some time on first line plots on the Mediterranean Coast with the last comparable development being Mar de Pulpi in Almeria. There is planning permission for 1,500 properties on the plot that measures 456,000m2 in its totality.

The project will be named Las Vistas, The Views in English, and will indeed offer incredible sea views from the majority of its units with the Mediterranean Sea just a couple of hundred metres away in a prime area of Orihuela Costa. The site preparation work has already been completed with new roads, pavements, street lighting and utilities infrastructure complete. The developer has launched a sneak peek of the project with two digital renders and it's clear to see that they plan to blend the buildings into the landscape with large green areas.

The project will extend the 'green corridor' for pedestrians as the La Mosca area has previously been largely open and lacking shade, the developer will change this by planting large areas of trees along the roads. There will also be a beach club and restaurant built as a part of the project, these will be publicly accessible and will meet the demand in the area for a high-end beach club with views that has been sorely lacking in Orihuela Costa.

In addition to this there will be sports facilities and large green public areas for relaxation and the enjoyment of nature. In this way it promises to be a development that appeals to high-end tourists who now often demand that their residences are centred around wellness and integrated with nature.

Las Vistas will not only be made up of apartments but will also have properties for senior-living, flex-living properties and also a hotel. The properties for sale on the development will be built to a luxury standard according to the developer, Gomendio, and will also be highly adapted to energy efficiency requirements and environmental sustainability.

The location is ideal, within walking distance of supermarkets, existing restaurants, bars and gyms and a short drive from the popular La Zenia Boulevard shopping centre and Torrevieja centre. The project will provide another boost to the Costa Blanca South after the recent development of the Torrevieja marina and will provide a further attraction for luxury tourism.
